Tree Falls On Vehicle as Winter Storm Sweeps Austin

Transport authorities in Austin, Texas, said crews were focused on fixing downed power lines and clearing fallen trees as a winter storm continued to batter the city on Wednesday, February 1.

The National Weather Service issued multiple weather advisories for the region and said power outages and tree damage would become more likely due to increasing ice.

Austin Energy reported that thousands of customers were left without power and said extreme winter weather through February 3 would cause local outages.
