Trevor St. John exits “The Young and the Restless”: 'Tuckers come and Tuckers go'

The soap opera veteran joined the show in 2022.

Actor Trevor St. John is saying goodbye to The Young and the Restless.

The actor, who joined the cast in 2022, made a statement on social media: "As you well know, Tuckers come and Tuckers go, and so the cycle continues… this Tucker is in his go phase... I thank each and every member of the wonderful cast, the crew, the directors, the producers and production staff, and CBS/Sony for the great experience from day one to the last. I feel so fortunate to have played such a terrific role."

He offered his "heartfelt gratitude" to the fans.

Entertainment Weekly has reached out to the show for comment.

As of Tuesday, according to IMDb, St. John had played Tucker McCall on 236 episodes of the soap opera. Tucker, Katherine Chancellor's long-lost son and an ex-husband of Ashley Abbott, has been played by several different actors since he was introduced in the series in 2009. St. John took over the part in 2022.

His earlier work includes a 10-year stint on One Life to Live, where he played Todd Manning/Victor Lord Jr.

Outside of daytime TV, St. John's work includes many primetime series, such as The Vampire Diaries, The Client List, and The Fosters. He's been in movies including The Bourne Ultimatum, Crimson Tide, and 2013's Tarzan.

As for what he's doing next, St. John posted the new movie that he directed, cowrote, and stars in, called A Good Enough Day, about a man who's facing death and decides to confront relationships that had suffered following a tragedy.

"Tucker might be gone for the time being, but I'm not going anywhere," St. John wrote. "I've got projects in the works, and if you haven't seen my film, A Good Enough Day, it's now available to stream for free on Tubi!"
