Donald Trump snapped at his own golf course on Thanksgiving, and exclaimed that he hated “this f**king hole’, as he played before having dinner.

The outburst came as the US president paid a visit to Trump National Golf Club in Potomac Falls, Virginia, where he spent Thursday morning.

Video obtained by TMZ showed Mr Trump teeing off at the 800-acre resort, around 20 miles northwest of Washington DC and the White House, when he exclaimed “ah s**t!”, moments after he had swung at the ball.

As the ball disappeared into the distance, he added that “I hate this f**king hole”, while personnel behind the camera laughed at the remarks.

He has now played some 300 times as president, with 298 visits to Trump National Golf Clubs alone, according to GolfNewsNet analysis.

The president returned to the executive mansion to have Thanksgiving dinner with his family, according to reports, having aborted plans to spend the holiday at his Mar-a-Lago resort on Palm Beach, amid the Covid-19 pandemic and an election loss he has continued to refute.

Mr Trump went on to snap at reporters, and said the presidential race was “far from over” as he answered questions for the first time since Joe Biden was declared to have won the 2020 presidential election almost three weeks ago.

Mr Trump, sitting behind a miniature wooden desk adorned with the presidential seal, raised his voice at a reporter who asked whether or not his claims of election fraud were true, and said: “I’m the president of the United States, don’t ever talk to me that way”.
