Planet fashion is, as you have probably noticed, having a collective love-in with muted, earthy colour palettes. From raffia bags to cream dresses and khaki jackets, it’s all very Marrakech-meets-safari chic.
And the latest colour to steam to the front of the fash-pack's wish list is the earthiest of them all: terracotta.
Pinterest announced this week that searches for ‘terracotta’ were up 95 per cent in the past six months.
And one scroll on your favourite social media platform (ahem, Instagram) and it's clear that clay-coloured hues are the super-chic shade for summer.
From rust-coloured silky slips to brilliant brown bikinis, the unabashedly autumnal shade looks uber-luxe and surprisingly chic when paired with a tan.
