TVLine Items: Outlander Prequel Casting, Hard Knocks’ New Season and More

The Outlander prequel series is enlisting some family members for its latest bit of wee casting.

The real-life sons of Outlander alums Stephen Walters and Grant O’Rourke will portrayer the younger versions of their characters, Angus Mhor and Rupert MacKenzie, respectively, in Blood of My Blood, the actors announced on Instagram. Watch the reveal below.

The Starz drama’s prequel will follow Jamie’s father and mother (Brian Fraser and Ellen MacKenzie) as well as Claire’s parents (Julia Moriston and Henry Beauchamp). “The series will center on these two parallel love stories set in two different time periods, with Jamie’s parents in the early 18th-century Scottish Highlands and Claire’s parents in WWI England,” the official logline reads.

* Hard Knocks will chronicle an entire NFL division for the first time in the sports documentary franchise’s history with In Season With the AFC North, premiering Tuesday, Dec. 3 at 9/8c on HBO. New episodes, featuring the Baltimore Ravens, Cincinnati Bengals, Cleveland Browns, and Pittsburgh Steelers, will debut on subsequent Tuesdays through the end of the NFL regular season and continue into the NFL playoffs in January 2025.

* Access Hollywood and the daily talk show Access Daily With Mario & Kit have been renewed through 2026 in national syndication.

* Christina on the Coast Season 5 will premiere Thursday, July 11 at 9 pm on HGTV.

* Amazon is developing a live-action TV series based on the French cartoon Totally Spies!, with Will Ferrell serving as an executive producer, our sister site Variety reports. The YA adaptation “will follow iconic best friends Clover, Alex and Sam as they navigate saving the world as international spies, while trying to survive the ups and downs of first year college life.”
