TVLine Items: Toby Keith Tribute, Bluey Minisodes Trailer and More

NBC is honoring the life and legacy of country star Toby Keith, who passed away in February following a three-year battle with stomach cancer.

The two-hour concert special “Toby Keith: American Icon” will air on the network Wednesday, Aug. 28 at 9 p.m. ET.

Luke Bryan, Eric Church, Ashley McBryde, Parker McCollum, Jelly Roll, Darius Rucker, Carrie Underwood, Lainey Wilson, The War And Treaty and more will perform Keith’s greatest hits as well as their own original songs.

* Disney+ and Disney Jr. have released a new trailer for the upcoming Bluey “minisodes,” one- to three-minute shorts that highlight funny and sweet moments featuring the titular pup and her sister Bingo.

The first seven minisodes will debut Wednesday, July 3, at 12 a.m. PT on Disney+. Disney Jr. and Disney Channel, meanwhile, will air the first two minisodes that same day, and roll out the additional five episodes during the networks’ “Red, White and Bluey” marathon over the Fourth of July weekend.

* Werner Coetser, Brendan Murray (Murdoch Mysteries) and Clive Russell (Casualty, Game of Thrones) have joined the Netflix fantasy adventure One Piece, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Coetser and Murray will portray Dorry and Brogy, co-captains of the Giant Warrior Pirates, while Russell will take on the role of doctor/lighthouse keeper Crocus.

* Gloria Reuben has joined the cast of Prime Video’s The Better Sister, about a woman (Jessica Biel) whose life is upended when her husband (Corey Stoll) is murdered, Variety reports. The ER alum will portray Michelle Sanders, a respected lawyer who finds a new challenge with sisters played by Biel and Elizabeth Banks.

* Netflix has released the trailer for A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder, starring Wednesday’s Emma Myers and premiering Thursday, Aug. 1:
