A couple of Foo Fighters super fans have travelled to Cardiff tonight to see the band for the 77th time between them so far. Husband and wife Linda and Johnny Walker, from Doncaster have travelled all over the world to see the band, and have been making some incredible memories along the way.

Linda, 63 and Johnny, 57 are going to all seven shows in the UK, yet believe that every time they see them it feels like a new experience.

Linda has been to 44 gigs, and Johnny 33, and the Foo Fighters Cardiff gig, taking place in the Principality Stadium on June 25 will be their second to last, as the Foo Fighters move on to different countries around the world.

Speaking about the tour and what it has been like seeing them so far, Linda told WalesOnline: “I daren’t even look at how much it cost. I think we could have gone to the Maldives." For the latest TV & Showbiz news, sign up to our newsletter

Linda also noted that the experience has been a fair commitment, as she has used lots of her annual leave to be able to see all the shows. She said: "I’ve had to book two weeks off to come to the gigs but it’s definitely been worth it. It’s on my work calendar as Foo-niverse.

“People always say- isn’t it just the same? But it’s not. It’s a completely different experience each time.” Johnny added: “We both wanted to come to all of them.

"The atmosphere is fantastic and the camaraderie is good. We’ve got American friends, Germans, Welsh, Scottish and people are just from everywhere. It's brilliant to come to these gigs all together, and someone will always be in the merch stand and everyone takes it in turns so it all just works really well.

"We once spent an hour outside Dave Grohl’s house, obviously at a respectful distance away so we didn't disturb him- and I think he was also away at the time, but we do think he's great."

The super fans have been to so many gigs, they say that they have even been subject to several iconic finger points, where Dave points to people in the crowd and says: "Old school." Johnny also added: "Dave also gave my wife a champagne out of nowhere once- and he has probably seen us in the crowd so many times I wouldn't be surprised if it was because he recognised us."

Linda and Johnny met at a nightclub in Sheffield in 1991, and became friends. But it wasn't until 2008, when they met again at another Sheffield bar where they got together. And when they got married, Johnny even surprised Linda by playing Foo Fighters music as she walked down the aisle.

He recalled: "She had no idea that was going to happen so that was definitely a good moment." The loyal fans have also witnessed some iconic moments at Foo Fighters shows over the years, including the time a five year old was invited on stage by Dave Grohl, and got to dance to the song 'All My Life' at their show in Belfast, 2018.

Johnny said: "We were actually there when he invited that little boy on stage, and that was a really amazing moment."
