Two men arrested after allegedly being caught with weapon

Two men have been arrested in Cambuslang for after allegedly being caught with a weapon.

Officers arrested two men aged 22 and 29 in the early hours of this morning following "numerous thefts from cars" and "possession of drugs".

According to police, they were also arrested on suspicion of assault and weapon possession.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "In the early hours of this morning officers from East Kilbride arrested two males, 29 and 22 years old, in Cambuslang for numerous thefts from cars, possession of drugs, assault and possession of a weapon.

"We never stop patrolling, help us keep you and your property safe."
