Two men attacked with metal object in Maidstone as Air Ambulance lands at scene
Two men have been taken to hospital after being attacked with a ‘metal object’ in Maidstone on Sunday morning (May 19). Officers from Kent Police were called to the scene in the Knightrider Street area shortly after 4.30am.
There, a man had assaulted two others using a metal object. Police soon established road closures in the area to allow an air ambulance to attend.
Closures had been put in place on the A229 Lower Stone Street and the A249 Mote Road resulting in travel disruption throughout the morning. A spokesperson for Kent Police said: “Both victims were transported to a local hospital for treatment. Their injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.”

The roads were re-opened shortly before 9am and normal traffic conditions resumed soon after. Kent Police has confirmed that enquiries to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident and to locate the person responsible are ongoing.
