Two men charged with assault and having 'imitation firearm'

Two men have been charged following an assault in Chorley.

Officers were called to an address in Geoffrey Street on May 30 to reports of a disturbance.

Wayne Baines, 32, and Jack Williams, 28, were arrested on Sunday (June 23) and have since been charged with section 18 grievous bodily harm with intent, possession of an imitation firearm with intent to cause fear of violence, and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place.

Baines has been further charged with attempting to pervert the course of justice.

The pair, both of no fixed address, were remanded to appear before Preston Magistrates' Court today (June 25).
