Two people attacked in separate bus incidents just minutes apart in village

Two people were assaulted in two bus incidents just minutes apart yesterday (Thursday). North Wales Police have launched an appeal for information, following the incidents in Brymbo.

A North Wales Police Wrexham Rural statement said: "We are appealing for witnesses following two separate incidents on busses in Brymbo, Wrexham, yesterday. At around 5pm on Thursday, June 27th, a man travelling on the number 12 Arriva bus to Brymbo is reported to have assaulted a passenger as he got off the bus on Edwards Avenue, Brymbo.

"At around 5.40pm, a teenage passenger travelling on a separate number 12 Arriva bus in Brymbo was also assaulted outside the Premiere store on Offa Street, Brymbo. A 45-year-old man has since been arrested on suspicion of intentional strangulation."

Sergeant Lee Owen added: “I am appealing to anyone who may have been travelling on the busses at the time, or anyone locally who witnessed any of these incidents, to make contact with us at the earliest opportunity.
