UK tourists outraged over having to pay new £180 sunbed charge in Spain

UK tourists in the Costa del Sol have been left raging at having to pay £180 for sunbeds. Holidaymakers in the UK have been warned to expect a staggering £180 sunbed charge as they head to the Spanish holiday hotspot this spring and summer.

Sublim, a new beach bar and holiday hotspot in the Costa del Sol, has faced fury from angry Brits on social media, Express.co.uk reports. “You can almost buy a bed for this price," one UK tourist fumed in response to catching a glimpse of the staggering price.

“Prices totally off the wall. Way too pricey. I won’t be attending!” another fumed. A third defended the bar and wrote back: "Simple answer. Walk away." Another said amid the rising debate: “Thanks, but no thanks, that’s a little greedy.”

The beach club describes itself as "luxury" on social media. It says: "Our restaurant is a tribute to our Mediterranean heritage. Here, you can enjoy delicious food that pays homage to local ingredients and the region’s culinary traditions. Whether on the terrace with sea views or in the warm interior, each meal is an experience in itself.

"Every corner is an opportunity to explore, connect and enjoy. We invite you to take a walk through Sublim and discover the magic that resides in every detail. This is our commitment to you: to offer you a place where beauty, authenticity and passion intertwine to create unforgettable moments."

The €200 sunbeds stipulates that that includes €100 worth of food. But visitors have slammed the food too, branding it pricey and too dear, having seen the €10 tomato salad, seemingly consisting of 12 tomato quarters splashed with salt.

Sublim Beach Club is ideally located in Estepona's prestigious Laguna Village, easily accessible and offering ample parking for guests. This prime location ensures that your visit is not just about the destination but also about the journey, with stunning views and a serene atmosphere that starts the moment you drive in.
