UK weather forecast: Exact day mini heatwave will end as temperature to drop to 12C

Summer seems to have finally arrived in Liverpool this week, with a mini heatwave seeing the mercury rise across the city and beyond.

Yesterday, Monday, saw highs of 25C in the region, with more sunshine and warmth expected today. And according to Accuweather's forecast, we can expect similar maximum temperatures today, Tuesday.

Wednesday, June 26, is set to be the hottest day of the week, with highs of 27C, before Thursday will feel a little cooler.

Accuweather predicts we can expect "Sunshine, becoming windier and not as warm", with maximum and minimum temperatures of 22C and 13C. Thursday looks set to be the final day of the mini heatwave, as the forecast for Friday reads: "A morning shower in places; otherwise, partly sunny with winds gradually subsiding".

There'll be lows of 12C and it is not anticipated to be any warmer than 18C at any point of the day.

Looking further ahead, We can expect similar temperatures on Saturday and Sunday, though with little sunshine. Sunday is then set to be "cloudy with a passing shower or two".

Monday, July 1, is forecast to be "cloudy and windy with a couple of showers, followed by a steadier rain", with highs of 20C that feel more like 17C, and lows of 13C.
