Ulster Bank employees are cycling across the UK in a baton relay to raise money for local charities, ahead of the Paris 2024 Olympics.

The seven-member team started their leg in Larne after receiving the baton from Scotland. The team included Shirley Thompson from Enniskillen.

The relay, which began in Edinburgh, will pass through Liverpool, the Pennines, the Midlands, Wales, south west England, and London before reaching its final destination in Folkstone.

NatWest, the parent bank of Ulster Bank and a Team GB partner, has around 300 employees participating in the relay.

The funds raised will support charities like the NI Hospice, Women's Aid, NIPANC, and others.

Sandra Wright from Ulster Bank said: "As Team GB’s official banking partner, we are excited to involve our team in our baton relay as we look forward to the Summer games.

"We are also very pleased that our team is raising important funds for charity through the activity. Extremely well done to all of our team who participated."
