Pembrokeshire in southwest Wales has been crowned the top UK destination for a July holiday by consumer experts at Which? thanks to its beautiful beaches, abundance of fun activities and warmer temperatures.

So whether you're after a family adventure or a more relaxing solo trip, Pembrokeshire caters to all preferences, and it's a hit with both locals and tourists.

Often referred to as 'Cornwall without the crowds', this south-west Wales spot is perfect if you're seeking a peaceful coastal holiday without the masses. Plus, July is reportedly the best time to visit and chance the unpredictable Welsh weather, with daily highs hovering around 20C, reports Wales Online.

The historic harbour town of Tenby and the quaint city of St Davids have both scored highly in Which?'s survey of best UK seaside towns, while nearby Barafundle Bay is one of Britain's most beautiful beaches - boasting vibrant blue waters and secluded dune-backed sands.

Beyond the scenery, there's an abundance of attractions in Pembrokeshire. History buffs can delve into the past by visiting castles such as Pembroke Castle or Picton Castle, strolling through the grounds and soaking up the rich culture.
