Fans of the Sky thriller The Undoing are surprised to learn that Noah Jupe, who plays the child in the show, is the son of former Coronation Street actor Katy Cavanagh-Jupe.

The 15-year-old star plays Henry Fraser in the series, the son of Nicole Kidman and Hugh Grant’s characters who find themselves at the centre of a murder trial.

He has also starred in A Quiet Place, Honey Boy and Ford v Ferrari. The Islington-born star puts on an American accent in numerous roles.

Katy Cavanagh-Jupe, meanwhile, played Julie Carp in Corrie between 2008 and 2015. Her character was originally introduced as a new girlfriend of Kirk Sutherland (Andrew Whyment), and in a later storyline she was revealed to be Eileen Grimshaw's (Sue Cleaver) half-sister.

Fans took to Twitter to share their delight at the connection between the two stars.

“So Henry the kid from The Undoing, is the real life son of Julie Carp from Corrie... mind blown,” tweeted one viewer.

“My absolute favourite piece of obscure pop culture knowledge this week is that in real life the boy who plays henry (noah jupe) is british and his mum is julie from corrie... i screamed,” added another.

The whodunit came to an explosive end on Monday night, in a finale that was criticised by some viewers.

Grant recently revealed he asked for changes to the original ending of the series after finding the script “disappointing”.
