Staff and volunteers from Family Hubs have been honoured by the University of Southampton’s new Community Partner Recognition Awards.

On June 17, the University paid a special tribute to Family Hubs for their support of primary care research projects.

Since 2022, Family Hubs have collaborated with the University's Finding Out Together team, hosting listening cafes covering a range of research subjects.

These findings have been circulated among healthcare professionals.

Additionally, the Community Parent and Carer Forum’s were launched at Pickles Coppice to foster interest in health and social care research.

Lesley Weeks, children and young people's programme lead said: "The Family Hub team work relentlessly to support our local communities."

She added: "I am delighted they are being recognised for this award."

Dan Buckle, head of service: family help, added: "I am incredibly proud of the team receiving this award from the University of Southampton which celebrates their work to supporting health and social care research."

The award recipients include Tina Ayres, Sarah Newman, Kerry Stala, Sharon Allcroft, Nadine Crew, and Daisy Richardson.
