Yahoo News Unseen Diana footage to feature in new C4 documentary
Following in the footsteps of the BBC and ITV, Channel 4 is set to air a documentary remembering the late Princess Diana of Wales – 20 years on from her tragic death.
While ITV's one-off special Diana, Our Mother saw the Duke of Cambridge and Prince Harry reminisce about their mother's life and legacy, Channel 4's documentary is said to be about Diana, by Diana.
Set to premiere in August, Diana: In Her Own Words will feature little-seen footage of the Princess, some of which is being broadcast for the first time ever.
The candid and "revelatory" feature-length documentary will include footage captured by Diana's speech coach Peter Settelen from Kensington Palace in the early 1990s.

The footage is said to be the only "unmediated" video with Diana recorded, and shows the Princess of Wales rehearsing her speaking voice and reflecting on her marriage and public life.
Channel 4's deputy chief creative officer, Ralph Lee, has promised that the one-off film will 'give Diana a voice' and will be an "important contribution to the historical record".
"The tapes, which show a relaxed and off-duty Diana, are hugely illuminating about her personality, humour and charm," he said in today's (July 25) announcement.
"Combined with historical context and interviews with her closest confidants, this film provides a nuanced, multi-layered portrait of the most famous woman in the world and a mother who has shaped the future line of the royal family."
Last night's Diana, Our Mother was a heartbreaking and eye-opening account of the Princess's public and private persona as told by her sons, but be warned – you'll need tissues on standby.
Diana: In Her Own Words, directed by the award-winning Kevin Sim, will air on Channel 4 this August.
