An urgent warning has been issued ahead of two big events in Glasgow tonight.

Traffic Scotland has said traffic across the city will 'most likely be very heavy' due to two gigs.

The Killers will be performing at the OVO Hydro, while Green Day will take the stage at Bellahouston Park tonight (Tuesday, June 25).

Ahead of both shows, the road firm is warning concert-goers' traffic could be busier than normal leading to/from both events.

We previously reported that Traffic Scotland also warned drivers that traffic could be heavier than normal due to the Green Day gig in the Southside.

They said road users can expect the M77, M74, M8, and M80 motorways to be busier than usual.

Meanwhile, several roads in Glasgow are set to be closed for the Green Day concert.

 

Green Day are an iconic rock band from California in the United States of America.

The group - which formed in 1987 - is made up of Billie Joe Armstrong, Mike Dirnt, and Tre Cool.

They are known for their hits including Basket Case, American Idiot, When I Come Around, and many more.

Meanwhile, The Killers are an American rock group who were created in 2001.

The band is made up of Brandon Flowers, Dave Keuning, Ronnie Vannucci Jr, and Mark Stoermer.

They are known for their songs including Mr Brightside, Somebody Told Me, When You Were Young, Human, and many more.
