The US military has begun construction of a floating pier in the Mediterranean Sea to support the delivery of aid to Gaza.

Images released by CENTCOM showed the construction underway.

In March, President Joe Biden announced that the United States would construct the floating platform to facilitate the delivery of aid to Gaza via maritime routes. At that time, a ship carrying equipment needed for the project departed Virginia. Credit: US Central Command via Storyful
