Van driver arrested outside Buckingham Palace for 'public order offence'
A man in a van has been arrested on suspicion of a public order offence outside Buckingham Palace, the Metropolitan Police have confirmed.
Officers were called to Birdcage Walk, at the junction with Spur Road, to reports of a suspicious vehicle.

A Scotland Yard spokesman said: “A vehicle was stopped and a man in his early 30s arrested on suspicion of a public order offence.
“The vehicle he was driving, a white Ford Transit, was deemed suspicious.
“Road closures and cordons are in place while the vehicle is assessed.”
The cordon was later lifted and traffic was allowed on affected roads.
