Where there’s a mole, there’s usually a hole, but never has a hole caused a mole so much trouble.

Video has emerged from the Netherlands that shows a mole struggling to remove itself from a hole between paving stones.

The clip was filmed by a woman who was walking her dog in the city of Gorinchem. She came across a mole trying to burrow its way up from the pavement.

The mole shuffles its body and waves its paws as it tries to set itself free from the dirt.

At one point, it even looks like the poor mole is staring directly into the camera, asking for help.

But don’t worry, according to the woman who filmed the clip, the mole finally managed to break free from the pavement a few minutes later, before running off into some bushes nearby.
