Anti-Government Protesters Confront President Correa Supporters

Thousands of anti-government protesters demonstrated in Quito on June 10 for the second time in a week. Protesters demonstrating against President Rafael Correa’s proposed changes to inheritance tax laws wore black and shouted slogans such as “Out Correa, out!” Rival protesters, supporters of the ruling PAIS Alliance party, called for Correa’s re-election.
