Armed Men Set-Up Checkpoint Outside Sloviansk

Armed men restricted access to and from Sloviansk, in east Ukraine, on April 12, setting up a checkpoint 25 miles outside the city along the E40 highway. The check point was set-up hours after armed and masked men, believed to be pro-Russian militia, seized control of the city’s police headquarters early on the morning of April 12.

Graham Philips, the uploader of the video, said: “Some 25 miles outside Sloviansk, on the E40 road, a pro-Russia checkpoint is set up. There’s a coach, a military vehicle – filming strictly prohibited so I hide and take it covertly from a nearby cemetery. Ukrainian police are there supervising. No anti-Russia, pro-Ukraine access only.” Credit: Graham Phillips
