Bernie Sanders Says US 'Far From Eradicating Racism'

Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders said the US is “very far from eradicating racism” on Thursday, June 18. Sanders’ comments were made in Washington, D.C., the day after nine people were fatally shot during a church prayer service in Charleston, South Carolina. The Department of Justice is investigating the massacre as a hate crime.

“This senseless violence fills me, and I believe all Americans, with outrage and disgust and with a deep, deep sadness.”
