Bomb Threat Hoax Prompts Emergency Response at Philadelphia Airport

A US Airways plane was evacuated after a bomb threat hoax at Philadelphia International Airport on June 2. The threats were made against five flights that either originated or were landing in the United States, but they were immediately deemed not credible, according to NBC News.

Four of the five flights landed and were from US Airways, Delta Air Lines, United Airlines and Volaris, a Mexican carrier. A fifth flight, on Korean Airlines from Seoul, was due to land in San Francisco in the afternoon.

The bomb squad and bomb-sniffing dogs met the flight from San Diego once it landed in Philadelphia, according to NBC Philadelphia.
