California's Valley Fire Destroys Hundreds of Buildings

Thousands of people fled their homes on September 12 as a wildfire erupted and consumed more than 40,000 acres overnight. The Valley Fire has consumed hundreds of buildings, according to fire officials, including the town of Middletown. This video shows the uploader fleeing his home in Middletown via car and the fire burning around him. Mandatory evacuations are in place throughout the region.

Four firefighters suffered second-degree burns and were taken to UC Davis Medical where they were in stable condition.
