Child Monks Airlifted From Monastery Destroyed in Nepal Earthquake

Child monks, who have been living in makeshift tents since their monastery was destroyed in earthquakes that struck Nepal on April 25 and May 12, were airlifted from Lho, a small Himalayas village near the Tibetan border. The World Food Programme transported 60 children and their caretakers from the monastic school on June 15, at the request of Nepalese authorities.
