Chile's Villarrica Threatens Eruption

Chile’s National Geology and Mining Service (SERNAGEOMIN) upgraded its warning on the Villarrica volcano to orange on March 18 after the volcano began rumbling and spewing ash from its crater in southern Chile. SERNAGEOMIN said a five kilometer area around the volcano was considered dangerous, along with spots along lava flow channels. Villaricca erupted earlier this month, prompting another orange alert, before settling down.
