Cougar Creek Fire Sends Plumes of Smoke Above Mount Adams in Washington

Smoke was seen billowing above Mount Adams in Washington as the Cougar Creek wildfire burned on August 24 and 25. The blaze, which was not connected to the larger Okanogan Complex, had reportedly burned almost 38,000 acres with 15 percent containment by August 26.
