Cyclone Nathan Brings Waves to Queensland

Cyclone Nathan hit far north Queensland at around 4am on Friday, March 20. The category-4 storm avoided causing serious damage as it weakened over land. Cooktown, around 100 kilometers (62 miles) south of Cape Flattery, where the storm made landfall, sustained minor damage with around 500 homes left without power.
