Fight Breaks Out at Philadelphia Police Community Meeting

A community meeting on policing erupted in chaos when protesters clashed with police in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on March 19. These videos were posted by Joel Mathis, associate editor at Philadelphia Magazine, who was covering the meeting.

The protest was over District Attorney Seth Williams’ announcement that two police officers have been cleared in the shooting death of Brandon Tate-Brown, according to NBC 10. There were 10 people arrested.

Police Commissioner Charles Ramsey was on hand for the session, which was scheduled weeks before the announcement. Earlier in the day, Williams announced there was no crime when police fatally shot Tate-Brown during a traffic stop last December. Credit: Joel Mathis/Philadelphia Magazine
