Florida Conservationists Return Loggerhead Turtles to Sea

Biologists at the Loggerhead Marinelife Center in south Florida on August 26 returned two loggerhead sea turtles to the ocean. Bowden, an adult male, was found underweight and weak with barnacles covering his shell, while Lucie, a young adult female, had her stomach torn by a fish hook she had swallowed. The Marinelife Center provided intensive medical treatment for Bowden and surgery for Lucie.
