German Artist Turns Weapons Into Art

Manfred Zbrzezny, a German artist now living in Liberia, has set up an innovative project named ‘Fyrkuna Metalworks’. Based on the outskirts of the Liberian capital Monrovia, it was set up to create unique art from discarded and decommissioned weapons. These weapons include AK-47s, bazookas, rifles and many other deadly arms with a brutal history during the Liberian civil wars.
