Greek Debt Talks Collapse

Despite the collapse of Eurogroup talks on Greece’s debt on Monday, February 17, Greek finance minister Yanis Varoufakis said he had no doubt that he and his European counterparts would reach an agreement that was “therapeutic for Greece and good for Europe.”

However, Varoufakis suggested that there were still a fundamental disagreement. He said there was a "substantial disagreement on whether the task ahead is to complete a program that this government was elected to challenge the logic of or to sit down with our partners and rethink this program from scratch.
