Greek National Broadcaster Reopens After Almost Two Years

The Greek public broadcaster ERT reopened its doors to its employees on Monday, May 11, after almost two years off-air. The broadcaster was forced to shut its doors in June 2013 after over 60 years of service, and was replaced with the scaled back NERIT service 11 months later. In April, the new SYRIZA-led government voted to fully re-launch the broadcaster, fulfilling one of its election promises.
