Indiana Residents Wakeboard on Ohio River Flood Water

Rapid snow melt and rain caused the Ohio River to rise to its highest level since April 2011. The river crested at around seven feet above flood stage on March 16, according to local reports.

Southern Indiana was particularly badly hit by the flooding, which cut off some areas from land. This footage captures Indiana residents wakeboarding on flood waters in Leavenworth. Water is now expected to slowly recede in the region. Credit: YouTube/Josh Evans
