Irish Emigrants Return Home to Vote in Marriage Referendum

The hashtag #hometovote was trending on social media on May 21 and 22 as thousands of Irish emigrants returned home to cast their votes in the country’s referendum on gay marriage. Ireland’s recent economic woes have seen tens of thousands of mostly young people leaving to find work in the UK and further afield. This video shows the scene on a boat as it arrives in Dublin port.
