Kerry: 'Time to Make Hard Decisions' on Iran Talks

US Secretary of State John Kerry said on March 21 it was “time to make hard decisions” in negotiations over Iran’s nuclear program. “We don’t want just any deal. If we had, we could have announced something a long time ago,” he said before flying to London for more meetings. " … We want the right deal that would make the world, including the United States and our closest allies and partners, safer and more secure, and that is our test."

In London, Kerry will meet with his British, German and French counterparts in the P5+1 talks. He told reporters in Lausanne he had spoken with the Russian and Chinese foreign ministers by phone Friday evening. “I emphasize we are united in our goal, our approach, our resolve, and our determination to ensure that Iran’s program is entirely peaceful,” he said.
