Kurdish Peshmerga Fighters Enter Sinjar

Kurdish forces reported the capture of Sinjar on Friday morning, November 13, a day after the start of an offensive to retake the town from Islamic State. The Kurdish Regional Security Council tweeted that Peshmerga had secured several public buildings and the Kurdish news outlet Kurdistan 24 published a photo of the Kurdish flag flying in the town.
