A man was injured by a shark while in the waters off Avon, North Carolina, on Friday, June 26. Cape Hatteras National Seashore said in a Facebook post that the man, 47, received various injuries to his right leg and lower back. He was airlifted to Norfolk, Virginia, for further treatment.
