Miami Protest Demands Release of Venezuelan Opposition Politicians

Protests against Venezuela’s government took place in Miami, Florida, on Saturday, May 30, as well as across Venezuela. Demonstrators responded to calls from jailed Venezuelan opposition leader Leopoldo Lopez to hold peaceful gatherings to pressure the Venezuelan government to set a date for the congressional election and for political prisoners to be freed.
