NASA Tests Mars Mission Rocket Engine

NASA ran a test firing of an engine which could power the new Space Launch System rocket into orbit. The researchers fired the former space shuttle engine for 525 seconds in a trial of a new control system on Thursday. NASA’s Space Launch System will be powered by four of the RS-25 engines, which were tested on August 13.
