Obama Takes Aim at Putin, Assad in UNGA Speech

US President Barack Obama used his address to the UN General Assembly on September 28 to call on the international community to adhere to the principles of the UN charter and not contravene international laws. Obama slammed domestic and foreign foes: he called Syrian President Bashar al-Assad a “tyrant” and appeared to make indirect references to Republican presidential candidates.
