Police Keep Competing Left-Wing Parties Apart in Athens

Members of the Greek trade union movement PAME marched to parliament in Athens’ Syntagma Square on Friday, July 10, to protest against the government’s proposal for a new bailout deal to Brussels. Police prevented activists from the left-wing ANTARSYA-MARS (ΑΝΤΑΡΣΥΑ-ΜΑΡΣ) movement from marching to the square while the larger PAME protest was underway, according to local reports.
