Protesters March Through Chicago Demanding Justice for Laquan McDonald

Hundreds of protesters marched through a shopping district in Chicago, Illnois, on November 27, calling for justice over the fatal shooting of 17-year-old Laquan McDonald by a white police officer, Jason Van Dyke, in 2014, and an end to police brutality.

In these videos, protesters chant “16 shots,” referring to the number of times Van Dyke reportedly shot the black teenager.

Jason Van Dyke was charged with first-degree murder on November 17, on the same day that dashcam footage showing the fatal shooting was released to the public. Credit: Twitter/Angela R. Rudolph
