Record high gas prices are significantly impacting businesses and industries across the UK. Four small energy companies have ceased trading in recent weeks and have left companies unable to provide customers with the energy they paid for. Supermarkets and food firms also say rising gas prices have caused a shortage of CO2 which is threatening UK supplies of meat and fresh produce. The government has been in talks with energy providers to explore solutions to the crisis. .
