Riot Police Push Back Sewol Ferry Protesters in Seoul

Thousands of protesters clashed with riot police in Seoul on Friday night and early Saturday, May 2, when they were prevented from marching on the president’s office, according to reports. The protest march was led by the relatives of victims from the 2014 Sewol ferry disaster, voicing anger over government corruption and workers’ rights.
