St Louis Police Release Surveillance Video Related to Tyrone Harris Shooting

St Louis County Police released surveillance video on Tuesday, August 11, described as showing 18-year-old Tyrone Harris, who was shot by police during demonstrations marking the anniversary of Michael Brown’s death in Ferguson, Missouri, on August 9. Authorities reported that Harris was critically injured after a suspect fired multiple shots at four St Louis County plainclothes detectives, according to reports.

The footage shows the chaotic scene as shots were fired on West Florissant Avenue Sunday night, causing people to scatter and run for cover behind parked vehicles. The surveillance video, taken from Solo Insurance Services, is described as showing Harris “grab a handgun out of his waistband once shots are fired during the protest in the W. Florissant corridor.”
