Syrian Government Aircraft Falls Into Rebel Held Territory

A Syrian regime helicopter crashed in a rebel-held area of northwestern Syria on Sunday, March 22, according to local activists. One of the crew members was killed by insurgents, while four others were captured, the UK-based monitoring group Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported through local sources.

This footage is described by a reporter for Sham News Network (SNN) as the site of the helicopter wreckage near Jebel Al Zawiya in Idlib Province.

From 00.27 to 00.36 into the footage a variety of still images are featured, but their original source is not credited by SNN. Storyful has not acquired clearance for that content, described as showing the captured crew members.

At 00.48 a speaker addresses the camera saying, “No one shot them down, God brought them down, he is throwing barrels at people, and lots of massacres in the country.” Credit: Sham News Network
